After a lifelong love affair with food, I decided to leave the corporate world and start Gourmet Hippo in 2018
Born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa; I developed a love for the African bushveld from a young age. My passion for food was nurtured by my mom who taught me many tricks of the trade. My brief stint into studying law and working in the corporate world was never the best use of my talents. So armed with a Business Management Degree from Wits Business School and whisk in hand, I left to start Gourmet Hippo and have already worked in Limpopo, and Mozambique.
